Exciting news for online sellers: TikTok Shop Netherlands is expected to officially launch in the summer of 2026. The buzz is already building, and smart sellers are preparing early to stay ahead of the competition.

When will TikTok Shop launch in the Netherlands?

TikTok Shop Netherlands is expected to launch in the summer of 2026. While TikTok has not confirmed the exact date yet, sellers can already start preparing their setup, including warehouse configuration, shipping settings, product listings, and account verification.

Why do sellers need to connect a TikTok account to their TikTok Shop?

If you’re planning to enter the Dutch market, now is the perfect time to prepare your shop setup. In our previous guide, we covered how to create a TikTok Shop account. Now, let’s move to the next critical step: setting up your store properly.

Warehouse Address is where your products are stored. This could be your home address, third-party warehouse, or fulfillment center. Return Address is where customers send items back if they request a return.

In the Netherlands, return policies strongly influence buying decisions. According to research by Landmark Global, around 51% of Dutch online shoppers expect reliable return options. Therefore, providing a clear and local Return Address is not just a technical step, but a crucial strategy to build trust and boost your conversion rates.

  1. Log in to Seller Center
  1. Go to Account Settings → Warehouse Settings → Add Warehouse Address
  1. Choose whether to use your registered address or add a new address if your inventory is stored somewhere else
  1. To set your Return Address, simply scroll down until you find Return Warehouse, click Edit, and enter the appropriate address.

Shipping plays a major role in purchasing decisions in the Netherlands. A survey by DHL found that 64% of Dutch online shoppers say free delivery improves their shopping experience.

However, there’s an interesting insight behind this statistic. About 57% of Dutch shoppers actually prefer shipping costs to be included in the product price, rather than seeing delivery fees added separately at checkout.

This means you can consider including shipping costs directly in your product price. Or offering free shipping with a Minimum Order Value (for example, free shipping for orders above €40).

To activate your store, you must upload at least one product. You can add products by manual upload, syncing from third-party platforms, or using URL listing.

But don’t rush this step. The Dutch market values transparency and high-quality product information. Here's what to focus on when creating product listings:

  1. Product Description: Use proper Dutch or professional English.
  1. High-Quality Photos & Videos: Use natural-looking images with minimal filters. Show the product from multiple angles.
  1. Pricing Strategy: TikTok Shop processes tax-related transactions, so your pricing must already include Dutch VAT (typically 21%).

To comply with European Union regulations, TikTok Shop requires bank account verification before you can start selling. If your bank details are not verified, your products may fail review, and selling features could be restricted.

  1. Log in to Seller Center
  1. Click Add Your Banking Information
  1. Select the country where your bank account is registered
  1. Enter the account holder’s name, bank account number, and required verification details
  1. Submit for verification

To ensure a smooth verification process, the bank account name must match exactly your legal name (for Individual / Sole Trader accounts) or your company name registered with the KVK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce).

To fully activate your store on TikTok, you need to link your TikTok account. This unlocks key features like Shoppable videos, LIVE shopping, and the Shop tab on your TikTok profile.

  • Official Account (Required): Your main brand account. Only this account can sell products directly from your shop.
  • Marketing Accounts (Optional): You can add up to four additional accounts to help promote products, expand reach, and run affiliate campaigns.
  1. Log in to the TikTok app using the account you want to connect
  1. Open Seller Center
  1. Go to Settings → Linked TikTok Accounts
  1. Select Official Account → Get Started
  1. Scan the QR code displayed in Seller Center
  1. Enable all permission toggles to allow full access
