Some weeks on marketplaces just feel different. There’s more traffic, shoppers move faster, and decisions happen much quicker than usual. Bol 7-daagse is exactly one of those moments.

What is Bol 7-daagse?

When does Bol 7-daagse take place?

Do I have to participate in official deals?

Is it too late if I didn't prepare months in advance?

Bol 7-daagse: Strategie, Timing und Erfolg auf bol

Bol 7-daagse is a recurring campaign where deals run approximately seven days across the platform. Offers change during the week, which keeps shoppers coming back and browsing more than usual.

From a shopper perspective, it is about finding a good deal before it disappears. For sellers, it is about being visible when that attention is already there and demand is naturally higher.

Bol 7-daagse typically takes place twice a year, with one edition in spring and another later in the year. For the spring 2026 edition, the campaign ran from March 23 to March 29.

The exact timing can vary slightly per year, but it is usually positioned just before key retail periods.

The most important rule for success is starting your preparation at least two to three weeks before the first deal goes live. This gives you enough time to audit your stock, adjust your pricing strategy, and ensure your content is sharp. Waiting until the week starts means you are already playing catch up while your competitors are already converting.

To win, you need to understand that consumer behavior shifts during this window. People compare products faster and are much more likely to try a new brand if the price is right. This leads to a spike in traffic and higher conversion rates, but also peak competition.

You don’t need a complex formula to succeed, but the basics have to be perfect. Here is how to handle the pressure:

Focus your energy on a small selection of your strongest products that already have steady demand and solid reviews.

Pricing is a major factor since shoppers are in comparison mode. Keep your offers competitive and stay ready to adjust if you see competitors moving.

Don't overlook your stock levels. If you run out mid week, you lose a level of momentum that is very hard to recover before the campaign ends.

Use Sponsored Products to support items that are already converting well. If budgets allow, you can also use Branded Shelves to increase visibility even further. Consider using dayparting with bid adjustments during high-converting days and hours to get more out of your budget.

Double check that your product pages are clear and easy to read. High traffic is only useful if your page actually answers the shopper's questions.

One of our clients, Pietercil, had a ‘Dagdeal’ on Lavazza products on Thursday, which is a prominent deal during the bol 7-daagse promotion.

We supported the deal with paid advertising by adjusting the campaigns to focus on top keywords and categories, helping to maximize visibility throughout the day. For this, we used both Sponsored Products and Branded Shelves, and applied dayparting schedules to get the most out of the budget by increasing bids during high volume periods.

What happens after Bol 7-daagse is often just as valuable as the week itself. If your products perform well, you’ll often see a halo effect of better visibility and stronger search rankings long after the deals end.
